So can I ask how much you typically spend on these fabulous thrifty finds?
My last fab find was a replacement copy of Barbara Kingsolver's Prodigal Summer. I love that book! Thank you Goodwill!
Heidi, if the books are paperback I pick them up for 99 cents. Hardbacks are $2.99. Often, though, they are half off of that!
I keep going back and forth on whether to read Prodigal Summer. I'm afraid it would be depressing. Is it?
No, it's not depressing. It's a really beautiful book, very earthy & sensual at the same time. I love that Kingsolver's female characters are always strong & well-developed- this book was no exception! I was so sad when I loaned my copy out & didn't get it back (which is obviously why I bought the replacement)! If you read it I'd love to know what you think!
